Empowering Transitional Age Youth (TAY) to break the cycle of childhood & family trauma and reduce social inequities through compassionate community engagement, support and collaboration.

We envision a community where individuals come together, united in purpose, to proactively dismantle barriers and empower young adults from challenging backgrounds to thrive as they were always meant to. We see a future where every young person is provided with equitable opportunities, personalized support, and unwavering encouragement to reach their full potential.

Services
HeadsUp focuses on developing genuine relationships with Transitional Age Youth (TAY) by providing them with crucial resources, positive support, and unwavering encouragement. We connect TAY with local organizations and educational programs to offer a wide range of services to support their personal growth and overall development.

Our Community Model Mindset focuses on fostering collaboration and sharing resources among our partners. We believe in promoting community progress by adopting an abundance mindset and supporting growth.

Resource Navigation: Easy to understand options and introductions to community resources.

Personalized Path Forward: Our Personalized Path Forward is unique to each person we meet. We'll help identify goals, help find what is motivating, and walk alongside to celebrate small victories along the way to meeting them.

Community Support: We know everyone needs more than a mentor in their network of support. We're encouraging a community filled with incredible young adults rocking their journey one step at a time.
CommunityPartners
Community Model Mindset: HeadsUp promotes a Community Model Mindset, enabling collaborative synergy among agencies, organizations, and businesses. We share decision-making authority and resources while upholding and stand behind Lived Experience. This approach is essential for effective collaboration and resource navigation, serving as the foundation of HeadsUp.

Semi-Annual Events: We're committed to holding semi-annual events for our community partners to grow in service together.

Promotion Through Partnership: We love to share about other organizations doing incredible things everywhere we go. We encourage funders, volunteers, and community members to learn more about our partners. We're always better together. We need you to be the best version of us.
ASSESSMENT
Every new participant will meet with a Program Manager to evaluate their goals, identify motivators, and chunk goals into smaller milestones.
BUILDING TRUST
Each participant will be connected with a mentor and build a relationship based on trust. They'll keep moving forward and celebrate victories together.
SELF-SUFFICIENCY
To satisfy self-sufficiency, all basic needs are met. Participants will be able to see a future for themselves and have a healthy support system.
COMMUNITY
Our vision for each young adult is a future where they feel confident, happy and fulfilled. Their secondary needs are met, and they've found a community.
