Transitional Housing

Our programs and services were developed by people

with Lived Experience.

Each participant's program is as unique as the person experiencing it,

and is led by their needs, their goals, and their dreams.

HeadsUp Housing Program

Housing remains the most urgent challenge for HeadsUp Fox Cities participants. HeadsUp is proud to introduce the development and pilot of a transitional housing program tailored to the needs of our program participants. This program is joined in collaboration with Pillars, Inc., which will own and manage the housing units, donated by Lynne Keller and previously used for the Ascend Program. This new initiative will combine our Personalized Path, group resources, and community-based programming to offer comprehensive, wrap-around support for young adults who have experienced personal and systemic trauma. The program will gradually transition to full operation, with completion expected in 2025.

In addition to our exciting partnership with Pillars Inc., which will establish transitional housing spaces for our program participants, HeadsUp has joined forces with the Appleton Housing Authority to provide independent living skill support to former foster youth through their Foster Youth to Independence voucher program. Working alongside Bay Area Workforce Development, HeadsUp Fox Cities also acts as a life skills provider, resource navigator, and helps connect
participants with landlords willing to accept vouchers.

We look forward to continuing to expand HeadsUp programming, offering targeted and equitable support tailored to the specific needs identified by the young adults we serve.
