Transitional Housing

Housing remains one of the most urgent challenges facing young adults at HeadsUp Fox Cities. What began in 2024 as a pilot program has grown into a comprehensive Transitional Housing and Housing Navigation program designed to meet young adults where they are and support long-term stability.

HeadsUp offers six two-bedroom duplex units located just behind our Community Center, creating a supportive environment with easy access to resources and community. Each unit includes:

  • Two bedrooms (you’ll have your own private bedroom)

  • Individual keypad entry for each bedroom

  • 1.5 bathrooms

  • Comfortable living room

  • Full kitchen

  • Laundry located in the basement

  • Single Car Garage

Residents share the apartment with one roommate, offering an opportunity to build community while maintaining privacy and independence.

A Supportive Community

Just steps away, our Community Center offers additional support and resources:

  • Pantry stocked with basic food and household needs

  • Plates, cups, and kitchen essentials

  • Small appliances and household items

  • Ongoing support and connection

Flexible Transitional Housing

Our Transitional Housing Program typically offers a 1–2 year timeframe, allowing residents to focus on building stability and independence. However, unlike many systems young adults may have experienced before, we do not operate with rigid timelines. We believe in meeting each person where they are, recognizing that progress looks different for everyone and prioritizing long-term success over arbitrary deadlines.

Built Through Strong Partnerships

This program was developed in collaboration with Pillars, Inc., which owns and manages the housing units that were generously donated by Lynne Keller and previously used for the Ascend Program. Together, we combine our Personalized Path, group resources, and community-based programming to provide comprehensive, wraparound support for young adults who have experienced personal and systemic trauma.

In addition, HeadsUp partners with the Appleton Housing Authority to support former foster youth through the Foster Youth to Independence voucher program. Working alongside Bay Area Workforce Development, HeadsUp provides life skills support, housing navigation, and connections to landlords who accept housing vouchers.

Housing Navigation

We provide individualized support to help young adults find, secure, and maintain safe, stable housing while building skills for long-term independence.

At HeadsUp, housing is more than a place to live, it's a place to grow, connect, and move forward.

Our programs and services were developed by people

with Lived Experience.

Each participant's program is as unique as the person experiencing it,

and is led by their needs, their goals, and their dreams.
